The Reciprocal System vs. a Theist and a Materialist

Filed under: Science — transpower @ 4:03 pm

Here’s an interesting debate between a theist (a proponent of “Intelligent Design”) and a materialist (a proponent of conventional Darwinian evolution).  The Reciprocal System is a “Theory of Everything” and so it can answer questions in biology, as well in physics, chemistry, and astronomy.

Neither the theist nor the materialist here understand that biological cells are comprised of both material atoms and cosmic (inverse) atoms.  Ordinarily, cosmic atoms, which are called “mesons” in conventional terminology, decay very rapidly.  However the biological cell is structured in such a way as to keep these mesons from decaying, until the cell itself dies.  In the Reciprocal System, there are two halves of the physical universe, our ordinary material sector and the cosmic sector, which has space and time interchanged.  Cosmic rays come from the cosmic sector; these are the source of mesons for biological cells.  The amino acid protein complexes are built-up by natural processes; it’s known, for instance, that fragments of comets and asteroids, which bombarded the Earth billions of years ago, contained both amino acids and water.  Eventually, a group of such organic molecules were able to capture and hold one or mesons.  But mesons have anti-entropic properties from our perspective.  This explains micro-evolution–not just fortuitous mutations but deliberate mutations to reduce entropy of the genes–which then results in more complex and efficient organisms.  Mayer, the theist, says that an “Intelligent Designer” must be involved here–but certainly not.  We don’t get to metaphysics until we get to the transition between non-ethical humans and ethical humans (our species is approx. 200000 years old, but we didn’t become ethical, or at least quasi-ethical, until approx. 10000 years ago).  Marshall, the materialist, cannot explain this increase in complexity and reduction of entropy by mere recourse to matter–in which entropy normally increases!  So both are wrong, and the Reciprocal System is right!

An Answer for Both the Proponents of Darwinian Evolution and “Intelligent Design”

Filed under: Science — transpower @ 9:18 pm

The Reciprocal System agrees, of course, with Darwinian evolution–but it supplies an additional mechanism besides natural selection–so it handles the objection made by the proponent of “Intelligent Design” in the lecture above.  A biological structure is purely physical, but not merely material:  in the nuclei of cells are cosmic (inverse) atoms–and these function as the “minds” of the cells.  These cosmic atoms are responsible for the unzipping of DNA molecules and–in the process–can induce “intelligent” mutations in the strands, before they are recombined with the surrounding atoms to form new DNA molecules.  This process of “intelligent” mutation can thus drastically speed up the process of biological evolution, as shown in the Cambrian Explosion.  The cosmic atoms are inverse to material atoms, so their processes appear to us as reducing entropy, rather than increasing it.  This normally means increasing complexity and efficiency.  Nothing metaphysical is involved here.
