This fits with the Reciprocal System theory of planet formation, but not the conventional theory. Planets do not result from clumping together of dust and pebbles, but rather from the implosion of the previous star–which leads to a white dwarf plus possibly one or more planets. The explosion component results in a red giant. These compact objects then expand over time until gravitational equilibrium is reached.
